SHIFT

The work and writing of the artist Asjer Jorn was a key turning point within my practice. The idea that it is not only explicitly through the decriptive elements of an artwork that an artist can be political but also by reflecting upon his own implicated situation within a system. Rather than concerning myself with over-arching historical narratives, I took on a more personal perspective concerning memory.
